What is the defining factor of discerning Male  from Female in Pure Bred Green Sunfish ? I've caught three examples , two  with orange fin tips and one without .

Yes Carl the ST's have caught  up to 10 species now.

Nice Greeny.

Hey John - I haven't caught too many Greenies here in VA, but they are native to this state while in NJ they are not. Not sure why there would be encouragement to kill them. Maybe the fish sampling for NJ currently ranks Greenies as vastly overpopulated or unwanted due to non-native status - I really am not sure, but someone else here might know.

Hey Ben-Are Greenies prolific in your area? And are they maligned by the state of VA like they are in NJ?

Nice Greeny John! They are usually pretty cooperative.

Only caught two Green Sunfish before this third .Rare fish  in my part of New Jersey as far as my experience goes .New Jersey considers them invasive and dictates to kill them .I don't personally see the need for that so I let him go . I need to be convinced they are are really troublesome.
