Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Bested my PB steelhead from the week before with this guy. He put up an awesome fight before I could land him. We didn't quite get the numbers of last week (4 for me, 2 for Dad), but I'm not even close to complaining as it was easily our second best effort chasing these fish.

Thanks, gentlemen. I used spinning tackle for these, Keith. Have not got into fly fishing yet.

They sure are a blast, Allen. Some of these fish just seem to go out of their minds when you hook into them.

Nice fish Adam. Was this on the fly or spinning gear?

Thanks again, Slip and John. This guy took a small purple feather jig tipped with a live waxy, John. Had to switch out the black one I used for the fish I caught earlier in the day as well as the previous week as the hook was starting to straighten out.

I wish I could've kept after them this weekend with the full moon coming in, but after raining all week, the rivers are way high and muddied up.

excellent!... way to hang on to an obviously successful fishing pattern
