Do you love big bluegill?
This was one of several fish caught on a tan and olive Briminator. Longer leaders were the trick - 9+ feet.
I'm tying my own soft leaders, so I can tailor them. I can tell you that 3# ice line makes a poor tippet.
These were cast to a likely spot, allowed to sink a foot or so and short-stripped on the retrieve. Often, the Briminator wouldn't last 5 seconds. The gill were pretty insistent on these.
I got one rise to a micro-frog gurgle bug, too, but no hookup.
