thanks guys!... i do mention in the text and on the photo that i do detect a bit of b.gill in the mix...i'm really having a fascinating time with the p.seeds and the coloration this season... i'll probably submit for the Master Angler certificate as a p.seed since there are no clear-cut guidelines for hybridization.

I'd bet my next retirement check that fish is a "pumpkingill"...p-seed X bluegill hybrid. Great fish, and yes, they do fight harder than the pure bluegill. Congrats!
