Thanks, Jeff!... yeah a special place in my heart for these fish. I really like the green sunfish also… spectacular colors at this time. Many people get confused with the mouth size in particular … warmouth, green sunfish, and the rock bass I think. I used to catch them all the time SMB fishing.

Beautiful fish! It's funny, out here in southern California, so many fishermen will catch a Green Sunfish and call it a Rock Bass. They don't look alike at all! Maybe the basic body shape, but color wise…nope! We don't even have any R. Bass in the entire state!
