I'm just hoping one day I'll be able to get out and chase them critters again. I so remember the long wonderful hours of fishing for them it was pure mind relaxation and satisfaction I do so miss very much.

Nice fishes John… especially on UL tackle.

The top two jigs are plain round ball head jigs from EBAY… the bottom is an Arkie 1/32 oz plain jig head/collar from Wal-Mart.

The top jig body is a generic plastic swim body from EBAY when rigged and glued to a .031 oz plain collar ball jig I call the Lil Minnow… it’s a bait ive been using for just over a year now and have been pretty excited about. I needed something smaller than a 2” Power Minnow and with more action and durability than a GULP 1” Minnow. I have caught days worth of B.Gills when properly glued to the jig head. I have just recently tagged 2 Master Angler B.Gills with one at a PB 10.5” with it… amazing bait when properly presented.

...20170614-Master Angler! trophy B.Gill at 10.0” tagged Long-Casting the Lil Minnow mtd on a 1/50 jig head.20170621-New Personal Best B.Gill tagged on the Lil Minnow!!... 10.5“ Master Angler !

The middle setup is a .031 oz plain ball jig with no collar rigged with a GULP Pink Waxie. With my best Long-Caster I can cast it over 30-0’. Causes extreme excitement with all Lepomis and just less so with B.Crappie. I can tag a few fish in a row with it than I have to replace the body. Power Bait sell a plastic version I have not tried yet… I could probably glue down to the jig ball and find more durability. i have just recently tagged a few 9-10" slot B.gills with it and anticipate breaking the 10" mark very soon.

The lower set-up is a 1” Apex Minnow that really measures close to 1.5” mounted on an Arkie .032 oz jig. i just recently took my buddy Dennis out and set him up with one of my Long-Casters with the 1" Apex and he tagged a Master Angler P.Seed with it... i have not been able to pry the set-up out of his hands since... LOL
