Yeah, I like filleting pan fish I get through the ice. I'm getting hungry for some right now, though. I may have to scratch that itch.

thanks Bruce!... yeah these trophy fish get released... my slot limit for b.gills is a lot skinnier than this... usually 6.5 to 7.5" range if and when i keep... i usually do a bit of harvesting in the winter.

found the thermocline established at about 16-17' typical for the lakes around here during the summer period. i then positioned my boat in the 15 ft range and worked the edge with a dropshot rig loaded with the pink waxie.
