Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

20150704-Wixom Lake…flipping accurate casts with a slip float / pink waxies into pockets of slop weeds was the main producer of decent sized B’Gills.

Nice haul.

it was the only pattern that was working for me lately.... i could not find any discernible numbers of fish at the deep breaks. it would be nice to drop the drop shot into schools of fish but im just not seeing it now. however this pattern is considerably more work it is also very enjoyable as well as rewarding. im getting very good at pitching a slip float into the weed pockets with stealth and accuracy. a long pole would work great here if i was in the jon boat.
