20150703-WIXOM LAKE-potential new spot

20150703-Wixom Lake… doing a little on line research with Google Maps I discovered an area that I thought would harbor some potential good fish schools. I had two total hours to fish including travel time and fishing. I figured an hour or so of fishing would give me a good reading if the spot had any potential. Some good initial readings from the sonar of the area revealed some fish holding at the weed edge and drop-off. There seemed to be good potential spawning areas nearby so I initially thought this area would be a potentially prolific area to fish.
I only brought (3) rod setups with me (2) slip bobber rigs and a UL jigging. Picked up a few small fish topping at an 8” class gill. A few smaller specimens close to the bank. I fished the area thoroughly with the slip floats but sensed I would have did much better with a drop shot setup.
