caught (3) in a half hour period in just over an hours worth of fishing... tried to hook up with Bluegill or panfish in general... not one bite from that class

Adam they used to be one of my favorite targets... my personal best is 36" a 12# plusser. that was way back in the early eighties. lately however i consider them a nuisance but still respect them as a game fish that fisherman enjoy.i just get way to many bite-offs even on tiny ice jigs really get you annoyed. however they are really the best target in cold water conditions.when i feel the urge to get bit i know how to catch these guys most of the time. there are those days when nothing else is biting usually they come through and save the day.
Jim im truly blessed ... a little walk down the street and i got this bridge with a pretty good bite all open water season for something... caught many good fish there. surprisingly very tough access with no parking so shore access is restricted. and it is quite a ways from the launch so it gets very little fishing pressure
