082314-- HAUL OF THE DAY

082314—so today's arsenal included two 5 ft light action drop shot rigs ¼ oz and 1/8 oz with size 8 Eagle Claw lazer sharp octopus in red (love these hooks) a 5ft microlight slip bobber setup and an ultralight spinning setup for jigs. Once on the lake I started shallow and found active fish right away. Since I was in 3-4 ft of water I selected the bobber setup with a gulp maggot pink in color. One fish after another for hours… fish up to nine inches. As the day progressed and boat traffic increased the shallow action subdued and I made my way out deeper. Very little activity on the sonar probably due to boat traffic. Picked up the remaining fish of the day including the best of the day five star quality bluegill of 9.25”
