I can see they fish more horizontal, don't know if that was the intention bur I think you on to something here.

wow dick ,the jigs i made with the bead forward are a tung bead with a straight pin in the counter drilled end then lashed to the bottom of the hook then pushed up tight to the eye.made these so my wife could fish a fly type bait below a small float

These are the jelly flies Carl. Look like the jelly jig except no jig head its a bead instead.

Jim I broke down and bought a few tungsten beads to try. I'll make a few flies up and try them out. I'm all about improvements and I can see in the last 5 years this industry growing in leaps and bounds..

There is a story that goes with that name, I'll get back with you on that.

Yeah, sorry. I was wondering about the "jelly" part of the name.
Why "jelly?"

Jim I still haven't found myself being able to fork over the extra money for the tungsten. I've went out all of once this year and just a couple times last year. I know Tony and you swear buy then and believe me if I knew I was going to get out I would try them. I may get a few of each color to make them up just in case if its possible to but just a few of each color. Thanks Jim..

McScruff these are flies not jigs. No jig head just a bead so it can be used on the fly rod.
