True Tony. So true. But still, that's a lot more pumping without the liner as the water leach through the soil strata. Time for a full enclosing canopy for the pond LOL
Leo Kent probably would just for the bass fishing , BUT THE POND ISN'T HIS TO BEGIN WITH!
HIS PROPERTY ends at the water line behind me on the right!
LOL Sorry..so many ponds to skip about. Same deal. Kent may want to invest in a lined pond during rough drought years. May want to import Doc's water.
Trivia time:
Q) How much water will you have to add to a 1 acre pond to raise the water level 1"?
A) 27,000 gallons......that's a lot of pumping, considering a pond can lose .5 - 1" per day in hot weather due to evaporation.......and that's if there's no leakage.
HEY LEO, THIS IS KENT'S POND, BUT on a note at Doc's pond she has a 450 ' deep well so she won't run outta water anytime soon!
Doc might want to think about investing in a lined bottom rather than an expensive pumping water bill.
IT IS THE LOWEST KENT has ever seen it Leo and no there is no way to pump water there. Would take a BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBig pump ! Doc's is as low as this and she pumps 3 hours a day. Bad drought this year!
Bang bang! You're not kidding about the water being low at Doc's pond Tooty. I'm surprised she doesn't have an underground well tap to replenish the water..unless water rights denied her from such water pumping activity.
Nice work!
