Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

VARIOUS color combos and some old colors also like the red and yellow. Tied in a sssmall piece of red yarn stripped to make it appear as blood coming out.

YOU ARE RIGHT AGAIN MASTER LEO!! WITH ONE EXCEPTION: SPRING TIME IN TROY GROVE!!!!!!!!! When the wind lays down I'm out with everything on the fly rod and the most fun to be had ! All my stuff can be used then with the long rod and can't wait!

So true Tooty. Back casts can be a nightmare, but remember, most of your creations are not used on fly rods. They're used by reel users and motherships hovering over the water. LOL I have to experiment with these, using a stiffer furled leader rig. Never know..it may work.

Yes I could do that Leo but they ride upside down anyway and just don't have the problem around here with snags Etc. Back casts are a different story though!!!

I wonder though Tooty, couldn't you angle the streamers at a 25 or 45 degrees to protect the hooks from accidental snag on the timbers and weed, like Mike Chell's weedless style? I'm doing similar streamer styles tomorrow since I got more materials to play with now.

Thanks Jeffrey and you mean to tell me there are shrimp that are pink and green? Thought you were kidding all this time! I'll send some along but not till I test em my self and they look like more professional tie. Kind of sketchy in that regard now. Maybe they'd catch fish now but I"m not satisfied with the way they look yet.

Good looking streamers Tooty...I have flooded timber in which these things wouldn't stand a chance......I'm paricularly fond of the pink and green as it resembles local grass shrimp colors.....

Nice Streamers Tooty man have you been busy.

Very nice streamers! You're making us wanting to hit the water even if it's 8ft thick with ice.

They look real good Tooty. Red and yellow is always a good combination. I like the blue and white ones too. I tied a couple of white ones today with some yellow ice dub near the head and made the head with chartruse thread. Caught 4 crappies on one right at dark, and missed a couple more.  It felt good getting the long pole out again.
