YOUR BROTHER WAS" INTENSE " DOING THIS , if I remember correctly !!!!!!!
Yup Carl and Leo it's been a learning experience for both of us. He's getting ready to make a bunch if we can find the blanks I'm looking for.........
father / son bonding time! great way to live
Now that's a the way to go. Making rods with dad, drink a bit..put some guides on, drink a bit..by the end of the hour, your rod turns into a Christmas tree..drink a bit more..LOL Great to see your son is getting into it.
NO NO TOAST BUT SHOULD HAVE RICK!!!!!!!!!! I did however have a toast last night to the fact and as a matter of fact several toasts!!!!!!!!!! ACTUALLY HAD A RAIN STORM HERE LAST NIGHT AND WAS UNABLE TO GET ON BBG and was going through the early stages of withdrawl from not being able to be on here. I'm back today however .................
Tooty, its the best feeling to watch your son to something you love to do and have him do better at it the first time than you did. You can take alot of pride in that. Now when he catches some fish off of a rod he made he will be a rodbuilder for ever and pass it on to his childern.
Did you guy have a "toast to the rod" with a little Crown Royal.......?
Thanks Carl and I"m very proud of his work already. He may have strikes against him in the beginning because of a terrible temper and being short fused, no patience and so forth. He made this thing with minimal input , hands on, by me and really surprised me to say the least. Didn't think at the beginning he'd complete the project, but he has a determination not seen in many young people today and I'm proud of him for that.......
good looking rods there! lots of pride go into building home made rods!
