Stress happens whenever a fish is confined.....water temp, and dissolved oxygen levels also adds to the level of stress. Tournament anglers go to great lengths to relieve as much stress as possible to their daily bag limits prior to weigh in time.....many will lower livewell temps and add bait saver chemicals in order to create a friendlier confined environment.
Can anyone tell me if I keep a bass in a fish trap in the pond overnite will it die from not being able to move around freely and get oxygen? I had it in there only half an hour and it seemed weak.
