Thank you for your comments. JBplus, here it a useful link from the GROUPS section on how to preserve a fish for replicating or conventional mounting... http://bigbluegill.com/group/HOWTO/forum/topics/how-to-preserve-a-f...
I would like to encourage anyone to visit my page not only for examples of my work but also my fish list. In the list are sizes of fish that may qualify for a free custom cast replica of a fish you my be lucky enough to catch.
anyone that is new here is in for a treat if they go to Tim's page and look at his pics
Enjoy your masterpiece Dean!
I cannot put into words how incredible your work is on replicas. I would love to catch another one worth mounting, and get to see your work every day.
That paint job is amazing!
That is beyond astonishing, Tim! It looks like it's alive and swimming on the mount!
On the off chance that I should catch a fish worthy of your work and my chancellor of the exchequer should approve a mount <g> what should I do to best make a replica mount from it? Do I need to keep the fish, or can I release it? That is, are photos sufficient to make a replica mount?
That is a very nice mount. My dad was a taxidermist for years. I loved when he did fish. Thanks for sharing that.
Great looking replica Tim. Love your work I know you pay attention to detail it's like you paint every scale individually. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks guys. Dean picked it up today and was quite happy with it
