Thanks Ronnie except I caught them with my UL spinning rig on a 1/64 oz jig. I ordered jig heads should be here tomorrow I got some 1/100, 1/80, 1/64, 1/32 and some 1/8 oz jig heads that should keep me busy for awhile.

Nice catch Dick. It's good to hear you are getting some time with the fly rod on the pond. I been using a bead head fly 2' under an small float and it has been working well. A 1/80 or 1/100 jig head will work well also and you can tie a few of them in the colors you want to use.

Thanks for sharing the pic.

Walt thank you for your 2 cent worth and it is appreciated. Unfortunately I guess my gills will always be number one for me I guess that's what lead me to the site to begin with. Again thank you and GOOD FISHIN.....

Well Dick, my $.02 would be not to give up on growing big bluegill unless you no longer want to catch big bluegill.  Some ponds take longer than others, and, after all, you are in Ohio, so the 'gills aren't going to grow as much in a year as they do further south.  But that doesn't mean you can't still grow some giants, because generally northern 'gills live longer.  I'd say keep at it.

I don't know anything about sinking line I guess it's something else I'll have to learn. I'll be making more Butt spiders though cause they sink. I'll have to experiment on how much lead to use so I can have a slow sinking rate I think that will help.

Thanks Greg I'll try to remember. The fish were bigger than I thought they would be I'm happy with there growth rate so far.

Feed and a feeding companion. Me and Gracie feed then every evening and believe me she won't let me forget. At 7 o'clock she starts winning till we do feed them.
