Great looking pics. Wow. Talking about a foggy day.
GREAT PICS KELLY AND THANKS FOR POSTING EM IN ONE OF MY GROUPS ......CLASSIC PICS AND SUBJECT MATTER.....
My dad's boat he bought in the early 1960's-all Evenrude including the trailer-it was the last year that Evenrude sold a package like this. 16 foot tri hull fiberglass with 33 horse motor. That is grandson Bradyn behind the wheel who is just a couple years younger than I was when learning to ski behind this boat. Very stable boat but heavier than heck-look at those I-beams on the trailer! :)
Earl you have a great outlook on life and the ups and downs it has provided you and the ones close to you.
Being lost in the bottle ! Well that is a waste of time as you so rightly pointed out and you undoubtedly are better today for it , realizing it's waste of time for you. Yup I"m gonna be 65 real soon and everyday when I get up its a good day no matter what comes. Some days are just better than others .
Inventing the perfect bug , go get em buddy . Thought I had the perfect bug till I saw some of the talent on here. I would say that simple , effective, and most importantly Durable , are the keys to this question.
I've been retired for almost 12 years now and don't know how I ever had time to work all the years I did. Seems like there is always something that needs tending to , but usually it can wait till I"m in the mood.
I have seen your video's on the old boats and outboards and marvel at them and your dedication to em... Good post buddy !
Speaking for myself only in this case. I've found that attitude is everything. I don't know how to be 50. I've got friends that are 50 and if looking at them is any indication of how to be 50 I want NO part of it! In my heart and head I'm stuck at 18-20 yrs. old. With all the old injuries and health issues mornings can be a little difficult but it just means getting moving good takes a tad longer.
If I had any secret at all it would be my relationship with Jesus and I just plain love every part of my life. I look forward to each new day, whether it be at work, fishing, or being dragged to antique shops with my wife. I try to always look at every person and situation in a positive way.
I don't ever plan on retiring and just fading away. I want to work, fish and love as hard as I can until God calls me home. I wasted 12 years of life in a bottle that I'll never get back. So I've got no time to waste in the future worrying about aging, aches & pains, things I have no control over, or negative life sucking people.
Making my wife happy, inventing the perfect Bluegill bug, antique outboard motors, and trying to be the man my dog thinks I am is a full time task.
I'm alway around to give a sympathetic listen to Y'all anytime anyone needs to vent and celebrate with Y'all on you're triumphs!
GGGGGGGGGGGood for you also Richard , Hit them banks buddy and slay some fish . Wish I could get my eating habits under control and that would help me a lot with my back issues I"m sure.
LIfe without vision would be unbelievably hard . Could you imagine not being able to see all the pics on here !!!!
Keep up the fight buddy, we're all in the same boat as we age......
HEY EARL , in lots of cases attitude is everything . My own issues with my back and now neck are really making me miserable. LIke you I just refuse to let it stop me from what I want to do and need to do. When something hurts you fix it if ya can and deal with it the best we can.... GOOD FOR YOU !!
YUP I think I"m 30 again myself , but in the morning when I get up I know I"m not .........
thank you dick iam really glad to be back
