Hi All I'M BACK

Made the move and just now getting internet going...Good trip except for a $800 break down of wifes car 200 miles from desitination. Gotta love the snow up here and the people are great and very friendly and laid back. Feels like the sixties that I grew up in. Next to no crime in the area.

About 6 months ago I was searching for fishing information and came across a guy named Mark - DNR Fisheries Tehcician Supt at Crystal Falls Field Office. I drove over and met him for the first time this week and it was great. We looked at lake maps and talked fishing about two hours, everything from how they stock  trout raise walleye and catch fish to age them. Needless to say he put me on to some nice fish specific lakes and is now one of my new best friends. Cant wait to do a ride along when they trap and stock fish. He showed me how they measure the dorsel fin age rings and a look at the data base and pointed out several 11 inch bluegills that are uncommon up north. One 11" was 17years old.

Very glad I made the move--- and Jen moving 500 miles is harder then moving across town........ more thinks can go wrong at lease it was my experiance.... Ice out in mid April hopefully - They are still driving on the ice .

Rick nice flies. Don't know about the red wool but I like the way you incorporated red into the flies I personally think red is a turn on color for flies that is of coarse if your not fishing deep water. Thanks for sharing and as usual great looking flies.
