I tell you one thing about my pond that is wonderful. The fish never get out. We have spent the last week trying to keep our cashmere goats in the yard. We fix one place, they get out another. Today, we came home to a message that they were out on the road. I guess our very kind neighbor must have driven them back as they are all here and safe. Ah, fish

I have lot of plans to do around and to my pond just need this rain to stop. I'll be adding 200 5 to 6" bluegill from a local supplier. Been to thier place out to thier ponds and seen thier fish. They are with-in 60 miles from the house. Question is" if I add them this month will they spawn this March & April? " All my bass I've been catching are nice and fat. 10 to 12 each time I cast a line in the water. Bluegills are another issue. I see them feeding but having a hard time really telling now many they are and how big they have gotten. I've caught some that I've posted pictures and there range from 5 to 6" long. I guess that about right for 6 month.
All hock have the barbs removed as not to mess them up. We'll see.

I think turtles are part of the enjoyment of my pond. I like to watch them. They are very slow, don't think they could catch a healthy fish.

Yes, there are both turtles and snakes. Maybe it's fish, they blow bubbles in cartoons

Will you can see the little one I caught yesterday evening. They range from 4 to 6.5 inches. Now the bass are all over the place 6” to 12”. With the weather warming up, I see more and more hitting the feed. I will up load a catch chart that I use to try and keep a record of what’s being caught and size and type

Great idea Rick,
Think I will get a tar treated aluminum 12" culvert for mine and back fill around it with pea gravel. Sounds a lot better than what I am using now. Thankyou
