Which fish do you think is from the pond? The creek?

The small one you have is a Bluegill the other 2 are Greensunfish (we always called them Black Perch).

I just wish I would have known I had them before spending the money on the fish I did.

I have since added about 8 larger bass in the 9"-14" range so I hope they thin them out a bit so I can add some Coppernose Bluegill if I can find any close by.

Would be nice to get some 6" LMB in there as that is what I need to eat the small GSF.

Now if any of the fingerling bass I stocked last December made it then I may have more LMB than I think in there, and I am sure they will spawn next spring changing the whole dynamic of the pond.

I am still feeding for now, probably until my feed is gone and I think I will quite after that, as I think the feed would spoil before next spring so I hate to buy another bag of food.

Except for my 5" fish, I would have said the two fat ones were bluegill, and all of yours were bluegill.

The 2 GSF you have are nice and healthy and could have been cleaned they old fashioned way or maybe even filets as they were pretty thick.
What did you catch them on (bait and tackle)?

Did they put up any fight at all?

Here are some pics of my Green Sunfish.

I think she is talking about adding minnows to her minnow pond, which I beleive is all that is in the pond.

She wants to know if she will have to feed the minnows or if they can fend for themselves in the pond.

Or at least that is how I read it, and since I do not have a minnow pond I can not help out much but I think most would make it, if it were me I would put 1-3 pounds of minnows in the pond and by mid spring I am sure you will have more than you need, and can start moving them if you like.

Just a thought.

High protein feed will put more weight on your fish them the minnows. I'm feed them till they just stop. There will be minnow and fingerling in pond after they stop hitting the food. Add the minnow but they'll be gone in a few weeks i bet.

We have a fish truck coming to TX next week for the last time before spring. I want to buy minnows for my pond, enough to last the winter. I keep hearing that "you can't have too many minnows". But, they have to eat too, right? So, if I buy a large quantity wouldn't I then have to feed them all winter? Since my fish eat so little in the winter, I was thinking of putting minnows in there and just stop feeding them. So, that is my dilemma. Anyone have an idea? Did I make myself clear?

The largest one is 6.5". I thought they looked healthy.
