Love the look of my ponds in the winter.  They are full and clean looking.  The lilly pads, in the small pond are sunken down, giving the pond a different look than in the summer.  While the water level was low took advantage and cleaned up the banks of some unwanted follage.  I do love my little ponds and fishing them as well as caring for them.

Not a one. I do see turtles periodically when it warms up for a few days. I have around 20 in my ponds. Wish the great blue heron would eat turtle. I have tried fishing where the heron eats, but can't catch any fish there either. Hurry up spring!

Hey Sharon, do you know any Estridges or Kennedy's in Murchison?   Relatives of mine.

Standing on my dock today, lo and behold, up pops a turtle.  Now, I thought, this time of year you should be hibernating.  Looked hungry, so I threw out a handful of food to it and it must have eaten at least half of what I threw out.  Don't really like turtles in my ponds, but figured what the heck for now.  Anyone else seeing turtles?
