GENERALLY;; I USE NO 6 HOOKS; BAIT HOLDERS; WITH BENT; ( CURVED TO A SIDE ) IS GOOD. ON THE KNOTS;; I USED PALMER;; AND IMPROVED CINCH;; AND;; OF COURSE;; I JUST HAD TO MAKE ONE OR TWO;; FOR BLUE GILL;; WITH EXTREMLY SMALL WILLOW LEAF SPINNER BLADES; WITH NO 8 HOOKS; ( SEE THE ONE WITH THE PLASTIC WORM ) !!

Here's a cool book from 1976 Carl .Lots of neat Fresh and Salt water rig concepts .Discusses Equipment, Rigs, a large variety of Baits,Techniques .All in 4 chapters and 159 pages.
