I tell you what I love catching piks ( or florida muskie to me and my friends) but i cant seem to be able to do it with any consistancy and there aint no one around here that i can find who targets em, any suggestions

Yeah well Mad Cracker you got the biggest Pickerel so we will be learnin' from you now LOL!..Live shiner is a good way to get em though, Heh Heh!

Tonight I caught a 15" Pickerel on a brown floating worm fished fast over weeds and rocks ,the same area by a boat ramp had brown snakes swimming around after dark .Saw the snakes in the headlamp wading back to the ramp/parking lot after dark, I catch Pickerel on a Johnson spoon with a Tube jig glued to it in a pond that has reddish Brown salamanders in it ,which is why I use the red/brown tube .I'm convincedPickerel feed on amphibians and that is what I try to imitate in my retrieves to catch them at times  . This summer2014 I caught a 24 " 3#1oz Pick on JSpoon/Tube .
