Dick-Here's my 2cents worth......if you want to start tying buy a first fly tying kit you can p/u at Cabelas or BassPro. It will include the vice &materials to get you started on basic flies.

Wow I'm overwhelmed by all the tools and tying supplies. I was up all last night on You Tube watching fly tying videos and tools. I never knew it was so big and all the things you can tie. Tooty gave me a starting point as to what tools I would need to start with and with all that's out there and the different things and different tools I can see a large learning curve.  Now we have all the threads, hair, feathers, eyes, wing material and the list goes on. I will make and attempt at it because it looks challenging and it would be neat to catch a fish on something I made myself. I do have a question on the thread, do I want waxed or unwaxed. Can I put head cement on wax thread. I will have many questions I'm sure but I know with the knowledge we have at the site I feel confident I can get any answer I'm needing on BBG.

Greg lets not go to extremes now. I'll leave the tying to the pros in which I'm not one although I do have my vice from the old days when I us to tie doll flies.
