My sons have the same appreciation for this stuff as I do . I guess myself and a few other old timers have to carry the torch for this stuff, and I have no regrets having gone back to the stuff of my youth.
Does anyone actually think most of the graphite rods so revered today would actually be used 50- 60 years from now. Probably not cause they are somewhat fragile , especially in cold weather. Just my opinion of course and what's new and next on the horizon ? More technology I'm sure and I guess that is advancement in some form or other. When these old wonderods were invented I'm sure Bamboo lovers scorned em then also.
