Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Back in the old days the old mountain men would get together for a rendevous  , Tootie and I were just wondering who would be interested and like to join us in early Sept on Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee  for a Old fashion bluegill rendevouis . This wont be a fishing tournament but just a BBG get together for a good time catching fish, eating good, swapping flies and lies.  Does this not sound like too much fun ! We arn't getting any younger, let us know what you think!   LOFR

Just got in this evening, hope y'all are have'n a blast, save some for seed.

Pics or it aint happnin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the rendevou;; was a total BLAST !! wish everyone was there!!  I don't think I have laughed that hard in a LONG time!!  THE  Lord of the Fly Rods;; is hilarious!!  so many stories  so many jokes;;; to little time!!    GUYS WE GOTTA DO IT AGAIN!!      NEW PLANS UNDERWAY FOR THE NEXT RENDEVOU!!  KENTUCKY LAKE NEXT SPRING!!

That's in Kentucky, right?

I was Impressed with the talent members of BBG brought to  Reelfoot, yes Johnny Wilkins is ready to catch fish in any conditions,  and has all the gismos , tools and latest tackle and shared some with us , " Thank You " Johnny,

Keith Ritters  brought us his handmade knifes to our show and tell, and he is truly a Master of knifemaking and floatmaking.

And Carl Hendrix just mesmerized us with his skills of knot tieing, " Show us that one again Carl" is all we could say , he could put on a show  and keep us entertained just watching him tie knots.

I wish more people could have come to see what these talented people can do , may be next time , I know I was Impressed.

I coulda gone to watch.
I can't do any of that stuff. Heck, I can hardly tie my shoes!

Good times...

thanks LOFR!!  I learned a few different ways of knot tying a long time ago;; keeps every body amused.  its real fun to teach these to kids!!    like I had said tho;; a couple of them;; I taught to the police swat teams!!  now those are firmly in their book of tricks!!
