I was wondering that too the other day. Thought maybe my O Fortuna was found to be abusive ;-)
Ya all that old 70's rock might have broke it. It was good back in the days. ( As much as I can remember ) Man was that 40 years ago?
I know... 40 years ago. That's something I try to forget about... thanks for bringing it up Rick... ;-)
I'm checking into it. Ning changed from a "free" format to a paid format. There were various options we could take to maintain the site. The one that Aaron and I chose was $250/year. It looked like it would be adequate for this site, but there's a chance that the particular format that we chose doesn't support music apps. The next one up was $750/yr, or something ridiculous like that. Way too much for a site that doesn't generate any income.

Total income for BBG over the last two years of operation?......ZERO :-(

But we like it that way. No point messing up a good thing with lots of advertisements, banners, etc. When I first started putting content on this site, I put some ads on the left side, but there's never been any type of kick-back or anything. I just did it to help some friends.

I'll try to contact Ning about the music app, but in the abscence of revenue, the $700+/year is pretty harsh.
I think we can all live with out the music. Just have John do a video of his next gig
What about a donation box ( like on pond boss) I'm down with that.
I had some songs on my page, took forever it seemed to load my page. Then I always turned the music off because it distracted me from my purpose here, to look and talk. So leave it off. I can do fine without it. I like the format and layout as it is set up with Ning and would hate to loose it because of money. I'm not opposed to advertising, especially fishing related. If it takes that to keep it free and open to the likes of me, ok. Or, I'll pay. Just don't let it die. This is a good thing.
Bruce, I would rather have BBG than the music. My daughter did show me how to go to a page and I could listen to their music and surf BBG. Oh well such is life!!!!!
Guess it was only a matter of time before the music app got costly. Sad but I understand.
Bruce we don't need music would be my vote its a great site
There was music on BBG?! No kidding!

The fact that my speakers were never turned on when visiting BBG and so I had no idea there was music pretty much sums up my entire opinion on websites with music :-)
Jonathan, Sorry about your speakers but you have really missed out on great music. John Sheehan, had some of the best Accoustic Guitar music, and Great Christmas music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
