Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

These are supposed to catch crappie, but recently discovered the gills really like them. Wish I had the mold in a smaller size, but these do the trick and easy to tie!

Nice Looking little jigs. I havent used little jigs with a flyrod yet.
Thanks Tim. I have used some 1/64 oz. jigs on a flyrod, but get some strange stares from the serious fly boys! I use them mostly in lakes and small creeks for bluegill and whatever else is hungry at the moment.
Those are good looking "jigglets"!

There used to be a Mom and Pop type tackle store in Oklahoma City that sold 1/124 oz jigs. I think I used to get 100 unpainted jigheads for $2.50. When they went out of bussiness I bought $30.00 worth. I might have a dozen or two left. They are great for just about anything that swims. I usually tie a wooley booger type pattern on them in olive, brown or black with a few strands of gold crystal flash in the tail.

The spinner is a nice addition.

WHAT SIZE JIGS ARE THESE?
Wow what a deal on jigheads! I like the wooly bugger idea too. Olive and brown, rootbeer with gold, good producers around here. These are 1/20 oz.
I bought some 1/80 oz jigs with the Sickle jig hooks. I really like the bigger bite on those Sickle hooks. Tied some tiny jigs with them for use with my fly rod. The heads were plain lead but I colored them with Sharpie markers.

Very nice jigs.

Hi nice looking jigs,I never tyed any with blades  great idea.I do use jigs on my fly rods Mark Sleeper  .
