Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hello,

New member and first post. I am in the process of building a very small pond, and I want to stock it with some BG's. In the past, all I would have to do is go down to the lake and catch a few, but we've had a major fish kill in 07, and there are hardly any BG;s left in the lake. So, I'm trying to find a hatchery that will ship BG fry. All of the ones that I've called so far only have fingerlings, which won't do because I live out in Hawaii, and the fingerlings are too large to survive the very long trip. Does anyone know of any hatcheries that have BG fry for sale that would ship out via Fedex? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Mark. Send an email to Todd at Overton fisheries. I know he ships fish and could probably help you. His website is overtonfisheries.com.
I did call them a while back, and if I remember correctly, they didn't ship any fish via Air freight. Maybe I'll try calling again. Thanks.

Did you find any? We need an update
are bluegill legal to bring into HI? they have a lot of rules about bringing in plants and animals due to problems in the past. a tree frog is wreaking havoc in some areas.
