Fish deeper water during the spawn! Everyone "beats the banks" looking for bedding fish. You'll be surprised what you find!
Telescopic cane pole w/4lb test, porcupine quill, true turn hooks (or my homemade jigs) and crickets.

Nice.
When fishing the marina I get impatient if it takes longer than 10 seconds to hook one.
10 foot long ultralight rod, small spinning reel with 4-6 lb line, bobber stop & slip float, size 7 tru-turn hook & 100s of crickets!!
cast a popper or a crappie slider. catch bluegill and crappie all day until into the night!
Lots of good tips.
Going with glow in the dark ice jigs this week. I've heard good things.
Crickets from May through October, 1/80-1/32 jig with a waxie rest of year. Tiny glow jigs deep.
FISH NEAR WEEDS OR LILLYPADS.
Size 14 hook, 1.5 lb. leader, 12’ pole, balanced fiberglass stem float, sunk with split shot, loose feed, spikes bait.
