Hey Trev, I have used the Crickhopper with some success, but tend to do better with the Rebel Teeny Crayfish and Teeny Frog...especially on stream sunfish like redbreasts, longears and rock bass. That crayfish is a killer!
I like the crickhopper real well. I usually fish it with a retrieve just fast enough to make it wobbble but slow enough to keep it on top. The bluegill seem to love it. You are deffinitely right about the Rebel Teeny Crayfish, it is a killer.
The Crickhopper is a great hybrid bluegill crankbait. To see small hybrids expload at it is a sight to see. Mostly your bigger hybrids want even touch it. I think the crickhopper is better than the rebel teeny crawfish for ponds.
