Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I just recently purchased some berkley gulp white colored maggots from my local bait store to use for some panfishing and i was wondering if anyone has used this bait before and the type of success people have had on it

I've had mild success using them on ice jigs during the hard water period. . It's been my feeling they work best as a secondary bait after getting the fish worked up with real stuff first . Not a real scientific study on my part though .

I have been using the maggots/asticots for 6 years All year long I think I have caught all kinds of fish using them Bass, carp ,and cats

I tie my own flies and tip with a maggot. If there is blue gill in the lake He is mine I have good luck with them
