John;; I personelly never had one; but have fished out of a pond prowler;; neat little boat to! perfect for small ponds. are you going to leave it at the pond; or use a truck to haul it around ?  a trifle heavy; but not to bad in weight actually  two guys can handle it very easy.  its made very tuff;;  very shallow draft  will run shallow water easy..  hope this helps you !

Thanks for the Info.

Im with carl - those little pond boats like he describes are stable and comfy on protected waters.

thanks

another one to consider;; is a carolina electric;; twin props under the boat;; trolling motor;;  several different types of boats in that catagory; google in pond boats !!  sundancer is another good one !  if all else fails;;  just get; corky the sailing inner tube !!  some body; back in the 50;s;; actually put a sail on a inner tube !!

those are awesome little boats carl but out of my price range.have seen them at the fishing shows up here.might be nice retirement gift to myself in a few years

lol thats funny. Think i'm leaning toward the prowler.

Somewhere on all my crap, I think I actually have plans to make a sailing tube, Carl.
I'll see if I can find em

have fished on those pond pontoons.very comfortable but you have to stay in your seat.very stable and a nice perch to see from.i find em a little cramped and could see losing stuff over board.i have a plastic 12 foot jon boat but have better shore access and the walking does me good.a coleman crawdad is a great little boat if you can find one.

thanks for the info

Maybe consider a fishing kayak, John. Check out the website and videos on YouTube for the NuCanoe Frontier 12. Very stable, sits two comfortably and you're sitting up on a raised seat. To quote their website page: "Boasting unmatched stability, solo or tandem seating capability, 360 Mobility, and a wide, open customizable deck, the Frontier provides the ultimate fishing experience." The kayak hull weight is only 77 lbs., beam width is 41" and maximum weight capacity is 650 lbs. I got mine the end of December. Affordable, easy to transport and can get to the shallows when bigger boats hit ground. Good luck.
