Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

It's not national news, but here in the Chicago area the threat of Asian Carp getting into Lake Michigan is a BIG NEWS ITEM. It has been said that this fish can wipe out the entire fishing eco-system in all of the Great Lakes. The USACE decided to poison a 6 mile stretch of waterway between an area and Lake Michigan , which would be the path from the Mississippi River to the locks which allow access to Lake Michigan. It has been reported that of thousands of fish killed only 1 of them was the targeted Carp that floated topside.
Do you feel this money could been better spent to promote improved fishing conditions in your areas? Or was this a good move overall to protect fishing in The Great Lakes region?

Wow, Joe...that's quite a story. I wish I knew a little more about the whole situation so I could make a educated comment one way or the other. It does seem like somebody made an errant decision without knowing as many facts as they could have. Non-native fish species are certainly a major concern for both fishermen and fisheries biologists.

Hope it all somehow works out.
I trust Big Brother. I have always been able to count on him. He got that bad old Asian Carp and I'm proud of him for it. How can I donate to a special fund so he can find the other one somewhere? Money is no object. We've got to get the other one that must be somewhere out there. Kill all the other fish, especially those worthless bluegill, until that carp is dead.

NOT!
