Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I was thinking about the next Rendezvous and thought , " This would be a perfect opportunity to have a Shore Lunch " , what do yall think, cooking fresh fish on the bank , just like I remember doing it in the past when I was growing up. When was the last time yall did that ? Let me know what yall did for a shore lunch for ideas. Then that would give us a chance to catch more fish in the afternoon , would eating fish twice in one day be too much, I could cook the lunch with cornmeal and in the evening I could cook fish with tempura batter. What do yall think , It would help out my planning. Thanks LOFR

long as your doing the cooking!! LOL!!  sounds great to me lofr!!!  I'll bring taters; onions and beans!!  might even have a bud light or two!!

that really sounds awesome

I keep a spit shine on my Coleman stove all the time for just this kind of thing. I also have well seasoned cast iron skillet and dutch oven. So it's a yes from me.

Ok then,  Shore lunch on Kentucky Lake, May the 2nd,   Fresh caught fried bluegill fillets,, french fries, cole slaw , hushpuppies,  sliced onion, pickled green tomatoes and sweet tea, and some kind of dessert. That ought to be enough to sustain us for a great afternoon of fishing and catching.  Let me know if there is anything else we need, this is going to be fun !     LOFR

GREAT MENU LOFR !!!!!!!!!!

don't forget the ohkra for tooty!!

NO OKRA REQUIRED !!!!!!

We will be able to pull our boats right up to the bank of the beautiful  Kentucky Lake and have lunch , bring your cameras  and your appetite, just one question , will we need naps after lunch ?    LOFR

I'm gonna try to reserve one of the campsites that are on the lake in the Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park. So I won't have far to go to take a nap.

I'VE NEVER EVER done that LOFR and look forward to it buddy . Yup a nap will be required after lunch buddy !!!! Start getting the tempura batter now buddy and cornmeal or what ever ya gotta get !!!!!! THANKS GREAT IDEA LOFR !

I have a portable charcoil grill to!!  a bit small  but does great!!

Thanks Carl ,but I dont think we will need it , the shore lunch will be at Keiths Campsite, and the cabin comes with a grill, and I'm thinking about bringing my griddle,we just need to make sure we catch fish.  LOFR
