Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Back in the old days the old mountain men would get together for a rendevous  , Tootie and I were just wondering who would be interested and like to join us in early Sept on Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee  for a Old fashion bluegill rendevouis . This wont be a fishing tournament but just a BBG get together for a good time catching fish, eating good, swapping flies and lies.  Does this not sound like too much fun ! We arn't getting any younger, let us know what you think!   LOFR

I'LLL BE THERE FOR THE RIBS BUDDY !!!!!!!!!!! THANKS IN ADVANCE LOFR ......

Ribs sound good to me. Dove season opens the 1st so may be dove breasts wrapped in bacon for an appetizer. But I'll be there even if you have Vienna sausages.

Oh yea , you got to bring them for our yankee friends  !

Ribs sound good to me, too.

I'm gonna try to make this event, would love to hang out with you gents for a while, depends on what I can do with work, have a new job & its wide open for now, will keep an eye on this thread & may make contact with a few of you later on.

HEY JOHNNY HOPE YA MAKE IT BUDDY.....

TOOTY

Only 50 day left to the Historic BBG first Bluegill Rendezvois, make your plans now ! This will be so much fun. We will be at  Boyettes Resort  on Reelfoot Lake in Tennesse, Everyone is  Welcome so don"t miss this. We will start the fun on Sept 5th, I pan to arrive about noon and get some afternoon fishing done before I have to man the BBQ grill , and get the ribs on the grill. so when you arrive you can either get some fishing done or join us at the grill. We might even have a campfire , so you might want to bring a lawn chair. Friday night will be a time to meet everyone in person that we have been talking to on BBG for quite some time. I know Bruce's ears will be burning if he doesn't show.   Saturday morning breakfast is available across the street, then we hit the water , fishing one of the historic bluegill/ crappie  lakes, sometime in the afternoon we will have to leave some for seed and clean the ones that wanted to join us for dinner,We should get some good photos and videos of different techniques.while we start the fish cooking I know the fly vices will come out , and the tieing and lying will begin, also the old and new fishing equip swap meet  will be happening, plus I also promised some of our Tn Vol's fans that we could listen in on the ball game, I'm going to try to Skype some events and I know there will be plenty of posts to the BBG page  while we are having fun there. Who knows , we might even have other surprise stuff, and if yall can think of anything  else we need to do let us know . LOFR

CAN'T WAIT LOFR. OF COURSE I'll bring my vice and material's , some of it at least . I'll only have a few patterns to show a how to on , but wish we had some experts coming on the tying end. most of all I wish the real genious's of tying were coming like Sleepy, Jim G. , Rex , Lady Jen , Greg Hopper, Dick Tabbert, and all the rest who may not be able to make it .......

WILL BRUCE SHOW WITH HIS SMILING FACE? HOPE SO . THIS was a great idea that Lofr came up with and know it will be a success ..........Forgot Allen Morgan and Carl too , but I know that you could't keep Carl away . Anyone who wants to use my vice is welcome to it and it's a simple one to use also.

On my way to Reelfoot I'll stop and pick up all the road kill  so it will be fresh and yall wont run out of fly tieing material while your there.  LOFR

this rendevou is going to be a classic event !!  you don't want to miss the FIRST OFFICIAL RENDEVOU !!!
