Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hi all,

Am enclosing a picture of my very first fish taken with modified Swedish Pimple on our local lake today. Although we didn't find any of the big gills that are normally suspended this time of year, the extremely cold fronts passing through have kept water temps bouncing up and down and it must really be messin' with the gills heads (as well as mine!) I got his hog on the very first cast with a 1/5th oz. S.P. in a hammered copper pattern due to the overcast skies. Also caught a perch that almost as small as the bait! Still lots of summer to go so hope to figure this spoonin' thing down as the summer slips by. Most sincerely, Bob Davis
