black - gill fedding

Im talking about, when there are so many gills feeding that it makes a black ring on the river or lake. I have seen it 2 times, both times just before spawn time,1 time on the river & once on a small lake we have around here. it was kind of strange because we caught a big mess of fish and not 1 was under 7" so I was just wondering if any one else has ever seen or heard of this. thanks

I think you have a better chance at getting struck by lightning than seeing something like that happen and you got to see it twice! You sir are a lucky lucky man! Need one of those flip cameras to video for us while out on the water.

I just remembered I have seen this ring. In a friends pond one time. But out in the river! Now thats something I would love to see!

wow ,thats not uncomon to me, we have a local pond and it happens every day i fish. just throw some bread in.
