Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Terry from BBG came by this morning to catch some of my catfish which I'm trying to get out oof the pond. He caught 4 Hybrid Strippers and 6 or 8 Bluegill and no Cats. First picture is two 17" hybrid strippers.

Terry with a 19" Hybrid Stripper.

Extremely good-looking hybrids! Well done!

Thanks Jim them are my babies.

Here is Terry with a 20" Hybrid Stripper.

You got some healthy looking Hybrids, Dick.

Thanks Vince they don't miss many meals. The dog and I go out every evening and feed the fish and they are the first to the feedbag.

Great looking hybrids Dick......how big were they when you stocked them?

Jeffrey 4" to 6" and I was concerned when I put then in I think they were about 3 bucks apiece  that would have been expensive Bass food but I knew they were fast and they all made it all twelve of then. Thank you for asking.

I love watching HSB smash pellets.....makes me giddy everytime!

Went out this morning on the pond with the 4wt fly rod because of the wind. All I got was a magnificent array of wind knots and I was spinning my wheels anyway this is the first time fishing a sinking fly and with the wind and me not knowing what I was doing I didn't catch anything but wind gusts and lots of knots.

Hehe - maybe he does not know to catch fish... Catfish, just your babies

I'm still learning maybe you can teach me.
