Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hey yall, hope all been good. I am Tim, the deaf fisherman from New Orleans. I know i aint been on here in a long time but life been rough..some rough times.

Still working for myself as electrician and tomorrow I am taking the day off to go fishing.

I dont know whats biting, and have kind of lost my fishing senses.

Aint been fishing since February, at least. Things went down, they opened the spillway last year and it ruined our fishing.. took forever for it to come back.

Tomorrow I guess I will go for sacalait first as I always do. They tend to bite better in afternoon,,, but those dudes who do crabbing on the crab lines,,they hog up the place. I gotta get there and park my truck, launch the flat off the side and weave thru the crab nets.

It gets rough back there sometimes. Someone cut the crab lines the night before i got there and then i arrived next day,,got out there by 7am and was close to the banks when the crabbers came and wanted to know WHY I cut the crab lines. I didnt. sheesh.

Anyway, l let yall know what happens. i kind of hooked on jigging for sacalait with the Crappier Grabber telescopic poles, and got a good feel of them.

The brother thats got the old Ranger bass boat swears he catches more fish than most people (he does, no doubt) because he uses the braided line and can feel bites better. Might be true.

good luck tim, kind of lost the urge myself for a while, gas is killing me at 4.25 a gallon but we have had steady rain and cool nights.

Welcome back,Tim. I hope you have a good day on the water. Sometimes a person just has to put everything else behind them, and go fishing. Nothing like being on the water to clear your head out, and put things in perspective.

thanks Jim and Vince. It was a very rainy day today. I was a little surprised that I even got any bites.for four bites with the topwater popper on the flyrod, and one small perch hit the Zara Spook when I was walking the dog.

Rained rained..wow. I spent a good bit of time under a Cypress tree. A giant spider fell out. No fish to speak of but I will say this.... they got some BIG alligator gar in the Spillway. BIG.

Yall take care, i will come back when I can. God bless yall.
