Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Well, this is my first post since last summer. Spent all fall, winter, and spring crappie fishing with my buddy Wayne, but now the crappie spawn is over and it was time to get back to bluegill fishing. Have been out several times over the last few weeks with normal catches for this time of year, but the last two times out we have filled both coolers. The gills are on the beds here now and we have been loading up on post spawn females. Fished yesterday with our wives and had another great day. With all the extra meat at our disposal we did two fish fries for two churches with the most recent being this morning. I'm worn out. We had a lot of thanks and praises for the fresh fish by the many we fed. We take for granted all the fresh fish because we get it so much, but others are not so fortunate. Is there someone you can share a fish dinner with? You just don't know how much they might appreciate it. Tom

Good work Tom and nice of you folks to share with the less fortunate......Bluegill is a treat even if you get it often but it's priceless to folks that rarely get it.....These fish caught in Tennessee I take it?

Yes, all fish were caught on J Percy Priest near Nashville.
