Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This is a fly that the bluegill seem to like and it isn't too hard to make. I found the puffer balls at Walmart.

I wrapped my hook with crystal flash and the tail glues tight to the flash. I like light green or orange/yellow tails. Any feather will work for the collar, with light green, black or yellow as favorites.

One of my favorite bluegill flys is a fly I tie myself toeing directions= start out with a #12 hook add on a Xsmall gold bead chain eyes then add a small red tail dub a tight body of black superfine dubbing then wrap that up to the eyes next wrap back then tie on a red saddle hackle next advance thread forward to the eyes wrap the hackle up to the eyes next tie of then dubb a head on the fly and tie off next cut the hackle of the bottom of the fly and you are finished great fly try it!!

WeWillieWiggler I talked about above.

That's a nice looking fly. I have never tied one of them but I do plan to now. Thanks for posting the link.
