Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Twas the night before Christmas another year later

I had a craving for my annual Christmas fish and potaters

so I snucked on over to my favorite Holiday pond

with the Spirit of Boogieman , egging me on

A voice in the wind said"Your not at Sharon's Snake Farm  tonight

and with a pole the color of Crimson, the bluegill will have to bite."

This happened so fast , I didn't have time to think,

but in the dark you really couldn't tell that this pole was "Pink".

I was careful baiting my crickets, I didn't want to be dumb

like poor Sharon when she put a Texas sized hook in her thumb,

Now Bruce showed you the photos, and thoses can't be beat,

but listen to me and I'll tell you how those fish eat!

I'm surprised He hasn't developed a new strain by now,

a " Cornhusker Redear "  as big as a cow.

I not one to use a float tube , and that the way it goes,

Like Greg an Jen who like snapping turtles nibbling on their toes.

So again I filled up the cooler, and it's always been a thrill,

Fish always taste better , poached from Richman Mills

The moon was rising, and it was getting oh so bright,

I raised up my anchor, and paddled out of sight.

This is all in fun ,and not susposed to cause a fight,

Remember,   MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, and to all a good night.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone at BLUEGILL BIG BLUEGILL
