Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The best worm ever in the 5 inch green Gary Yamamoto. What I do is I wacky rig it through the middle and use as bottom jerkbait. For bass of all sizes it's like not eating for 24 hours then seeing a big juicy steak waiting for them.

i like to Texas rig a 10.5 inch zoom ole monster in pumpkin. fish it weightless and real slow. i have caught bass from 1lb to over 6lbs in ct which is not bad
over 6 lbs is great!
Deadly tecnique!!!I've used 4" Jersey Rigg worms rigged the same way and once caught 30 bass in a little over three hours .Also in the rain in July a 5pounder on a black JR worm. They are lighter than Senkos dont cast as far but I think they fall slower .If I need distance I put a nail for weight thru it .Cheap sinkers!Mister Twister Comida worms are good and so are Yum worms they both can rig the same hook in the middle style. With the Jersey Rigg worm I use a 1 or 1/0 hook.
when fishing the jersey rig do you sweep the rod or twitch it, i even seen people reel twice and stop
Most of the fish come on a slow dead fall.I'll twitch it or pull it to vibrate it if a fish hasn't already picked it up and swimming away with it . I keep a tight lineand usually work the worm with the rod and reel in slack .

my 6in full round trick worm i make in zambony green. biggest fish on it was just over 7 lbs.

been burning them up on it. fish it wacky style and on a shaky head.

over 7lbs is Great!Congratulations!
The 5 or 4 inch Senko rigged wacky style is a very good bait.  And any color works as long as it's Green Pimpkin Black Flake LOL!  But what I also like to throw in shallow water is Berkley Power Worms.  Motor Oil or Black are the only colors I use.

Any of you ever use live worms for bass?
