My father is n ow deceased. Bu tI remember many fishing adventures with him. One was the time I was fishing and a fish took the pole I was using out of my hands. I was just a little tyke and that wasn't hard to do.

My dad wasnt too pleased with it as I recall.

But the next time we came back to that spot, I caught the pole and reeled it back in!

Getting the Rod back made HIM  PROUD!!!!!!

My dad had this huge black tacklebox.  At least when I was little it seamed huge.  It was like my own tackleshop.  He was never to happy to see some of his stuff gone but I never really got in trouble either.  As a matter of fact, he still has it.  Just got a new one for is birthday.  I am going to miss that black one when its finally taken out of service.

Tell HIM, and he might hand it down to you!!!!!

Might have to.  Not sure how my wife would like the extra tacklebox around the house but would be worth it to me.

Curtis, Just blend it in with your other boxes. She will never know. Works with        flyrods!!!!!   :-)
lol might have to try that.....if he will give it up
My Dad always loved to fish, and bluegill was always the main focus. I started fishing with him as a pup , and as the years went by, we spent a lot of time in the boat together, I still fish the tecnique he taught me long time ago,and in later years we were a prolific fishing  machine,I had to catch up to his skills. It got so bad as we had to keep seperate coolers to keep up with the numbers each of us caught, we always tried to help the other out filling their limit. Dad 's been gone now 15 years, and I know he's catching his limit daily, if there is a limit in Heaven , and the time I got to spend with him in the boat are some of my most precious memories, for the time in the boat wasn't just Father and Son time,it was Best Friends Time .If I can pass those  fishing skills on to my kids and share some memories with them I'll feel like I've done my job the way my Dad taught me, sometimes  it's not about how many you can put in the boat. Happy Fathers Dad .        LOFR
Your LORDSHIP, I have no dout that you will pass those skills on to you kids!!!!!!
you are right on the money LOFR I am hopen to do the same with my girls

My father is the best person I know.  He is also the best fisherman I know.

I'm not kidding or exaggerating.

My Dad can catch fish in the midst of people catching nothing.  My Dad also has a sense for where fish live and eat.  The fishing Memorial Weekend was terrible at Lake McConaughy, but he picked out two spots where he thought there MIGHT be some fish...and sure enough the fish were there.  In three days my Dad and I caught about 40 fish, which was about 39 more than anybody else on the lake.  All  because of my Dad.

I really love that guy. :-)

Bruce , I would say HE taught YOU WELL!!!!!!
