Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Awhile back, Bruce expressed his desire for a dragonfly nymph fly. While being home with a sick kid the other day, I played around, and this is what I came up with, size 10 hook.

That's a very good representation, Alex! Very nice!
Thanks Dave! I'll post the recipe as well.

-size 10 hook
-wrap thead around to hook bend
-wrap a very small piece of chenille on either side of hook
-wrap a slightly larger piece fo chenille over the smaller pieces, this should form the flat "round" body
wrap dubbing color of choice around chenille

wing case was made from two olive goose biots
thorax and legs are made from turkey wing

I'm not kiddin' you....That might be the coolest thing I've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!

VERY accurate. I'll buy some from you, if you've got a minute this winter to put a couple more together!!
Bruce, no chance in hell would I sell a few to you. Give you several, you bet your Big Gills I will, I believe Kershaw is planning on making you a few as well!
You and Kershaw rock.
Thanks, Bruce... can you prove that?
That's some nice tying Alex!!! Good job. What kind of hook did you use?
this was tied onto a 3906b size 10 hook
