Ok guys, I've been Bluegill fishing for a while with my bass pole setup with a 10 pound testline and been looking stuff up and this is a terrible setup. So im going to buy a whole new setup and i'd appreciate if you tell me if this is good before I buy it, so here it is!
Rod: Light Graphite Shakesphere Uglystick
Reel: Light spinning reel
Line: 4 pound Fluorocarbon test line
People say this is a awesome setup for bluegill fishing but I dont know in experience so please help me out! :D
Sensilite Shimano rod rated for 1-4test... 2#test on UL reel is the best outfit I own for Bgills...the Ugly stick may be ok for active fish but not sensitive enough for many subtler applications
i used fluorocarbon 4 lb on mine and every time i get line twist bad, well it does about every 4th casti will get line twist dont know what i am doing wrong,i know how to put line on a spinning reels been doing it for years but i get it with fluorocarbon and any help would be appreciated
Mark- I think I bought it years ago from Bass Pro Shops catalog. Can't recall I 've used it for years. I cast a practice plug with no hook in the yard, attach the TwistOut to the line, snug it up to the outside of the top guide and reel in .It takes getting used to how tight to adjust the tension thumb screw but it's real easy to learn . I feel this thing is great and straighten my line out after spooling with fresh line as well if the spool memory is apparent .
