Spooning for BG has changed how I fish

Thanks Musky Mod - your post a year or two ago has changed not just how I fish for Bluegill - but how I fish overall.  Sure I can catch them other ways - but not and catch Perch, Smallmouth and a walleye or two at the same time.  Late summer - I've come to expect big bluegill -it just a lot of fun!

Thanks FH.......It has also changed the way I fish....with the exception of the pre-ice period, spoon fishing makes up for 97% of my tactical approach.

This picture is from a typical summer evening on "my lake". The bluegills I tend to do better fishing straight down - and the perch and walleyes like is swum back to me near the bottom. I don't make any long casts.

Some of the best bluegill fishing I've had in the last two months was using the "Musky Mod" methodology of spooning! Thanks, MM!
